Carthago Z

Carthago Z (Sire) by CAPITOL I/CALANDO I (Holsteiner) Carthago Z has won international acclaim under Jos Lansink, Holland, winning Nations Cups and International Grand Prixs. Participant at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Dobel's Cento and Carthago Z (both by Capitol) placed 1st and 2nd respectively in the Grand Prix at the CHIO Aachen 2000, still the most important showjumping competition in the world.

Capitol I

Capitol I As white as snow, bursting with energy, self-assured and radiating a noble appeal, Capitol I looked like a horse out of a fairy tale. This monumental stallion is justly deemed one of the best Holstein jumper-makers in Germany if not in the whole world. His off-spring have earned well over 2.5 million Euro at competitions in the north and south, in Europe, in America and Australia – at Championships, World Championships and Olympic Games. At the Olympic Games in Sydney alone, four of his off-spring participated.

Voltaire

Voltaire was really the first of the super star performance stallions to go on and prove himself equally as important as a breeding stallion. In the competition arena, he won at the highest level, winning Nations Cup classes at Calgary, Stockholm, Hertogenbosch, Lanaken, Helsinki, Wiesbaden and Wembley. In 1989 he won the Grand Prix of Berlin.

Ramiro Z

Ramiro Z In a lifespan of thirty years, this horse's performance as a sporthorse and breeding sire, has earned him already the title - 'Stallion of the Century'. Some may argue about this, but none can take away the outstanding merits of this King of Sires. Conceived in Holstein, born in Westfalia, licenced at Neumunster, and himself an international performer under Frtiz Ligges, this stallion influenced nearly all European Performance Studbooks. Ramiro was the most popular distributor of the Ramzes blood and the most frequented sire in Germany. He stood at stud in Westfalia, Holstein, Zangersheide and Holland. Numerous sons and daughters conserve and pass on the valuable genes that stand for rideability and jumping talent. Therefore, it is not a surprise to find Ramiro's children and grandchildren at the top levels of showjumping.

Calando I

Calando I was sold into show jumping after a three year covering stint and became a real hit. He became German Champion in 1984 under Karsten Huck and in the very same year managed to get placements in Rome, Dublin and the Calgary Grand Prix'. Thereafter, under E H Cupper of Belgium, he achieved countless further international successes.

Darco

Darco - is one of the top 10 showjumping breeding sires in the world. He was one of the most successful showjumping horses ever and was also one of the top breeding sires worldwide for jumping horses. His list of achievements as a jumping stallion is testimony to his dream-like career: Champion of Belgium as a 5 year old. Winner of the Belgian Championship as a 6 year old. Winner Volvo World Cup in London 1988 and in Hertogenbosch in 1989. 7th at the Barcelona Olympics, 2nd at Spruce Meadows/Calgary, 6th in the World Equestrian Games and Stockholm, and won and placed highly at countless World-Cups and other important international events. As a sire, Darco, who was described by his rider as an extremely honest and intelligent horse never known to produce offspring that fell short of excellence, was always on top of the list for breeders from all over the world. Mares produced by him are highly coveted as brood mares and often sell for astronomical prices, while many of his male offspring have gone on to become highly successful themselves.

Lugano Van La Roche

Lugano van la Roche (Lugano/ Adelflut by Ablegar I) The Hannoverian LUGANO VAN LA ROCHE was one of the founding stallions of the Belgian Warmblood breed. He sired 10 graded sons of whom Darco, Lundi de Paques and Luxus competed internationally in show jumping and Gagliano competed in international dressage. He also sired a further 12 international showjumpers including the top horses Traxdata La Ina, Isuara van de Helle (again out of a Codex mare) and of course Bollvorm’s Egano. Who helped him to achieve a ranking of 5th in the WBFSH list for sires of international showjumpers in 1995. This well tested combination, Lugano van la Roche x Flügel van la Roche, is also found in the pedigree of a great number of international show jumping horses.
