Later he was an International show jumper with Roelof Bril; they cleared the 2.10m during the puissance of Indoor Brabant in 1991 and in 1993 they were reserve champion of the 1.40 class for KWPN stallions. He is at the top of the Dutch showjumping index and has more than 30 approved sons.
|
Landgraf I
| |
Landgraf was not initially widely accepted as a stallion in Germany because sons of Thoroughbreds were still regarded with suspicion . It was after the 1975 Equitana in Germany, where Landgraf easily cleared a 6'6" several times a day, that international riders started to buy his offspring. Born in 1966, Landgraf I belongs to the first vintage of his sire, Ladykiller xx, who produced another hero one year later in Lord, another of the most influential stallions in Holstein.
|
Darco
| |
Darco - is one of the top 10 showjumping breeding sires in the world. He was one of the most successful showjumping horses ever and was also one of the top breeding sires worldwide for jumping horses. His list of achievements as a jumping stallion is testimony to his dream-like career: Champion of Belgium as a 5 year old. Winner of the Belgian Championship as a 6 year old. Winner Volvo World Cup in London 1988 and in Hertogenbosch in 1989. 7th at the Barcelona Olympics, 2nd at Spruce Meadows/Calgary, 6th in the World Equestrian Games and Stockholm, and won and placed highly at countless World-Cups and other important international events. As a sire, Darco, who was described by his rider as an extremely honest and intelligent horse never known to produce offspring that fell short of excellence, was always on top of the list for breeders from all over the world. Mares produced by him are highly coveted as brood mares and often sell for astronomical prices, while many of his male offspring have gone on to become highly successful themselves.

Lugano Van La Roche
| |
Lugano van la Roche (Lugano/ Adelflut by Ablegar I) The Hannoverian LUGANO VAN LA ROCHE was one of the founding stallions of the Belgian Warmblood breed. He sired 10 graded sons of whom Darco, Lundi de Paques and Luxus competed internationally in show jumping and Gagliano competed in international dressage. He also sired a further 12 international showjumpers including the top horses Traxdata La Ina, Isuara van de Helle (again out of a Codex mare) and of course Bollvorm’s Egano. Who helped him to achieve a ranking of 5th in the WBFSH list for sires of international showjumpers in 1995. This well tested combination, Lugano van la Roche x Flügel van la Roche, is also found in the pedigree of a great number of international show jumping horses.
